Teaching Experience and Academic Background
As a US Air Force Veteran, I began my Healthcare journey in 1998. Since 2019, I have been immersed in teaching higher education, where I have the privilege of instructing a diverse array of courses. My primary educational foundation is in psychology, but I have broadened my expertise to include other Psychology-based curricula, allowing me to engage with a wide range of subject matters and student interests. I have attached a list of vetted courses for your review.
My academic journey began at Capella University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 2017. I continued my studies at Walden University, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology in 2019. I then completed the coursework for my Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology (ABD) at Walden in 2022 and am currently working on my dissertation, which examines the role of psychology within our prison systems.
Personal Background and Teaching Philosophy
I was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii and I have always valued diversity, inclusion, and equality—principles that were integral to my upbringing. My approachability and lighthearted sense of humor contribute to a welcoming and open classroom environment. Through my life experiences, I have gained a unique perspective that shapes my interactions with others, while my background—both on the islands and in the military—has instilled in me a deep respect for everyone I meet.
