About Me
Dr. Arturo Loaiza-Bonilla, MD, MSEd, is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist specializing in gastrointestinal malignancies and genomic biomarker-driven cancers. He serves as the Medical Director of Oncology Research at Capital Health.
Dr. Loaiza-Bonilla earned his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá. He completed his internal medicine residency at Harbor Hospital Center, Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He also holds a master's degree in medical education from the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to his role at Capital Health, Dr. Loaiza-Bonilla is the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Massive Bio, a company that connects cancer patients to clinical trials using artificial intelligence.
He has held leadership positions such as President of the Pennsylvania Society of Oncology and Hematology and President of the Board of Directors of the Global Alliance for Patient Access. His accolades include being named in Philadelphia Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 and receiving the Influencers of Healthcare Award from the Philadelphia Inquirer.
