Demetria is an organized, dedicated, and flexible Coding Specialist licensed by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). With a diverse background and over two decades of experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge across multiple industries.

Her career began with 8 years of honorable service in the U.S. Army, followed by 4 years as a mental health nurse. She has also worked 8 years in auditing and accounting, 10 years in customer service, 1 year in corrections and law enforcement, and 10 years as a travel agent. Most notably, she has over 18 years of experience in medical and dental coding and billing, making her a seasoned professional in her field.

Currently, she teaches an AAPC coding course, helping individuals become certified and assisting healthcare organizations in training and certifying their billing teams. 

Her expertise spans remote medical coding, HCC coding and consultation, and medical and dental billing—including CPT, CDT, and ICD-10. She also excels in project management, instruction in coding and billing, and holds certifications in AI and ICD-10. Additionally, she brings experience in accounting, inventory control, customer service (both phone-based and in-person), and independent travel consulting.

Her mission is to empower others through education, precision, and professionalism in the evolving field of healthcare coding.
