About Me
I'm a seasoned research consultant specializing in sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, and inclusive private sector development. With over two decades of experience, I've led impactful projects across diverse geographies including Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, and beyond. My expertise lies in crafting strategic plans for sustainable business growth, conducting rigorous research in areas such as value chain development, enterprise development, and climate change impacts. Throughout my career, I've collaborated with esteemed organizations like the International Labour Organization (ILO), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and CARE International. At the ILO, I managed the Enter-Growth project, pioneering innovative approaches in Micro and Small Enterprise Development to foster local economic development and promote inclusive growth through improved market systems. As an instructor on Udemy's platform, I teach "Sustainability Management in Business," empowering learners to navigate ESG complexities and integrate sustainable practices into business operations effectively. This course equips participants with practical skills to identify sustainable business opportunities, manage operations sustainably, and align organizational goals with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I hold a PhD in Sustainability with a focus on Green Economy from Management and Science University, complemented by master's degrees in Organizational Management and Agriculture from the University of Peradeniya. My passion for sustainable development is underscored by a robust publication record in esteemed journals, contributing to the academic discourse on sustainable business practices globally.
