I am a Data Science Consultant who is passionate about helping companies make data informed decisions. I founded the company Silvey Solutions to help me make a difference in the data community. In the past, I gathered experience as a data scientist at Pro Athlete analyzing e-Commerce data and at SS&C Health analyzing pharmaceutical claims data. I completed a data science internship at Westar Energy and a data internship at the City of Olathe to improve my skills and gather valuable experience. I use my experience from my work and projects to grow my skills in cleaning data, utilize data mining techniques to discover important findings, perform data analysis to solve problems, build machine learning algorithms, and create data visualizations to tell my data's story. I rely on using SQL to obtain and prepare my data. I heavily utilize Python to clean, analyze, and perform machine learning on data. I use a multitude of statistical programs such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, MATLAB, and SPSS to assist me in solving my problems with data. I was the President of KU Math Club, the Undergraduate Vice President for the KU Association for Women in Mathematics Chapter, and a member of the KU SIAM Chapter. I was a research assistant for Dr. Yo Jackson in the KU Psychology department with her research on how children adapt to stress and trauma.
