Michiel has over three decades of experience in finance, having earned his MSc in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1988. Since 2005, he has specialized in creating and delivering finance training programs on a wide range of topics, including financial markets, asset & liability management, corporate finance, integrity management, anti-money laundering, risk management, and bank fundamentals.

Michiel's approach focuses on making complex finance concepts accessible to his course participants, emphasizing that finance is not as complicated as it might seem. Over the years, he has successfully trained thousands of professionals with varying levels of finance experience, including account managers, operations staff, chartered accountants, controllers, journalists, consultants, IT professionals, cash managers, treasurers, and university graduates.
