    About

Nick Harauz is a seasoned video producer, editor, educator, and creative technologist with over two decades of experience at the intersection of visual storytelling, emerging technology, and education. Based in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, Nick has built a career helping brands, creators, and learners communicate ideas with clarity, emotion, and impact—always with story at the center.

Nick’s professional journey spans post-production, motion graphics, photography, and creative training, working across industries that demand both technical precision and artistic sensitivity. Over the years, he has collaborated with creative teams, educators, and global brands to deliver narrative-driven video content for social platforms, conferences, and learning environments. His work is defined by a belief that technology should enhance creativity, not replace it.

In recent years, Nick’s focus has expanded into generative AI and emerging media technologies. He actively explores how AI can responsibly support creative workflows—streamlining processes, accelerating ideation, and improving efficiency—while maintaining human judgment and storytelling integrity. He applies this philosophy through his FINDS framework, which emphasizes fueling, igniting, nurturing, defending, and sharing ideas with a critical-thinking mindset. This approach enables creators to adopt AI tools thoughtfully, without losing their creative voice.

Nick is a long-standing LinkedIn Learning Instructor, where he has spent nearly a decade teaching courses on video editing, generative AI for video, and creative thinking. His ability to translate complex tools into practical, approachable learning experiences has made him a trusted educator for professionals worldwide. In addition, he has served as an Avid, Apple, and Adobe Trainer for leading education organizations, empowering creatives to master industry-standard tools.

From 2021 to 2025, Nick worked as Director of Product Marketing at Boris FX, where he helped shape messaging, education, and outreach around professional post-production tools. He is also a published author, having written the Apple Motion 5 Cookbook, a hands-on guide that continues to support beginners and experienced motion designers alike.

An active speaker and community contributor, Nick has presented at major industry events such as NAB, Adobe MAX, and DOC Toronto. He is a member of ASFAI and regularly shares insights on creativity, AI, and workflow innovation through his writing, teaching, and public speaking.

Whether producing content, teaching professionals, or experimenting with new technologies, Nick Harauz remains driven by a single goal: to help people tell better stories—using the best tools available, guided by experience, curiosity, and human creativity.
