Roopa has 17 years of experience in the health sector, having worked in a variety of roles across multiple countries including the USA, UK, Netherlands, Nepal, and Bangladesh. As India's first trained Rheumatology Nurse, she has demonstrated a consistent drive to excel in her field and bring the highest quality services to end-users. With 13+ years in the corporate sector, Roopa has held positions in administration, patient quality and safety, training, and capacity enhancement program design and execution, as well as research and clinical roles.
In addition to her corporate experience, Roopa has four years of expertise in public health, where she has contributed as a project lead, manager, consultant, assessor, mentor, and volunteer. She has worked in primary to tertiary healthcare settings, focusing on rural and tribal areas to improve quality, sustainability, and program execution. Her efforts have extended to capacity development and tele-training programs.
Roopa's credentials include training in Project Management Professional (PDU35), Six Sigma Green and Yellow Belt certifications, and finance for non-finance executives. She has also completed a scientific writing and reference management course, as well as a "Train the Trainer" course from the Netherlands. Roopa has authored 19 research publications and articles, and her expertise extends to healthcare professionals' quality improvement, soft skills, and motivation. She is highly skilled in quality assessment tools, campaign design, and scientific writing, with experience in developing both online and offline training modules and IEC materials.
